About me

I recently joined Wycliffe Bible Translators to
become a student mobilizer in Atlantic Canada.

This means I’ll be mentoring and encouraging young adults to think about using the God given gifts and talents that they currently possess to get involved in global missions. So rather than going overseas myself, for the time being, I will be a sender.
Raising up and sending others around the globe, so that some day soon we might be able to say that every language has received the Word of God and knows of His love for them!

To do this role, I’ve to raise up a team of people to partner with me financially and prayerfully.  If you’d like to know more about my finances and what all of this money talk really means, you can find out more by clicking here.

Sometimes I’m overwhelmed when I think of the opportunities, passions and talents that the Lord has blessed me with. I spent a portion of my childhood growing up in Ethiopia. These years impacted me greatly, giving me a love for different cultures, and global missions. It also gave me an enthusiasm to encourage others to explore this idea of missions and different cultures. In the last several years, this love led me to seek out people from other cultures lead me to volunteering at a local refugee organization. I love getting to know people, following their stories and helping them reach their goals! This combination of my love for mentoring, embracing different cultures, and encouraging others to consider global missions are things that I never dreamed could actually make up a job description!! These things make myrole as student mobilizer in Wycliffe the perfect fit! Who knew?! While it took me a while to figure out, God definitely knew all along!

“You know what I am going to say
Even before I say it, Lord
You go before me and follow me.
You place your hand of blessing on my head.
Such knowledge is too wonderful for me,
Too great for me to understand!
I can never escape from your Spirit!
I can never get away from your presence!
If I go up to heaven, you are there;
If I go down to the grave, you are there.

If I ride the wings of the morning,

if I dwell by the farthest oceans,

even there your hand will guide me,

and your strength will support me.”

Psalms 139: 4-10
